Busan Office of Education Appoints Five New Legal Advisory Attorneys for Educational Field

On the 4th, Superintendent Kim Seok-jun presented appointment certificates to the new legal advisors at the superintendent's office.
The term of the current legal advisors at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education expired on February 28, and five new legal advisors were selected through a public recruitment process in early February.
The newly appointed legal advisors are Attorney Kwon Hyuk-geun from Busan Law Firm, Attorney Kim Hong-il from Oryun Law Firm, Attorney Ryu Je-sung from Jinsim Law Firm, Attorney Lee Wan-soo from Haewon Law Firm, and Attorney Hwang Jin-hyo from Gukje Law Firm. Their terms will run for two years from March 1, 2022, to February 29, 2024.
The legal advisors provide legal counsel on various matters including handling lawsuits involving the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and educational institutions or schools, civil and criminal legal support consultations for faculty and staff, interpretation and application of laws, and the enactment and revision of autonomous regulations.
During the past two years, the legal advisors have supported various legal advisory services, including 40 administrative lawsuits, 12 civil lawsuits, and 90 other consultations.
