He continued, "We must replace the arrogant regime that is corrupt, incompetent, lies during elections, and thinks the people will fall for their fraudulent schemes," and stated, "If the regime is extended even once more, liberal democracy and common sense will disappear from this country."
Candidate Yoon also indicated his willingness to cooperate with some politicians from the Democratic Party. He said, "If the people decisively judge this time, all the factional politicians of the Democratic Party will be replaced, and sensible and dignified politicians will lead the opposition," adding, "Sensible politicians from both the People Power Party and the Democratic Party can cooperate to develop Daegu and Gwangju and raise South Korea to be the world's top nation."
