Daegu City, 256.3 Billion KRW Supplementary Budget ... Focuses on Livelihood Economy
COVID-19 Support 157.4 Billion KRW, Major Current Projects 149.1 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Daegu City plans to push forward a supplementary budget of 256.3 billion KRW in March to actively support the livelihood economy. The total scale is 306.5 billion KRW.
In an unpredictable situation regarding the peak of the Omicron variant, 157.4 billion KRW will be promptly implemented as a strengthened special support for the livelihood economy in response to COVID-19.
Additionally, 149.1 billion KRW will be spent on major pending projects to improve citizens' safety and quality of life. The total support amount, including disaster management funds, is 306.5 billion KRW.
The first supplementary budget for this year has been prepared at 256.3 billion KRW and will be submitted to the city council on the 4th. After council review and approval, full support will begin from the end of March.
Looking at the budget plan, it includes 30 billion KRW for Daegu Happiness Pay, 5.5 billion KRW for small and medium-sized enterprise management stabilization funds, 300 million KRW for Daegu-type platform delivery rider accident insurance, 100 million KRW for purchasing safety supplies for delivery riders, and 2 billion KRW for Daegu-type cultural consumption discount coupons.
1.491 trillion KRW will be invested in promoting city administration pending projects to enhance citizens' safety and quality of life and to ensure important projects are implemented timely on site.
This is the policy.
First, 2.2 billion KRW is allocated for Sincheon fountain improvement and night lighting installation, 2.7 billion KRW for Sincheon pedestrian environment maintenance, 6 billion KRW for the construction of Daegu Representative Library, 1 billion KRW for Ap Mountain tourism attraction project, 10 billion KRW for Gumi Haepyeong water intake plant, and 1 billion KRW for future car transition enterprise support.
