[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] As of 3 PM on the first day of early voting for the 20th presidential election on the 4th, the early voting rate was recorded at 12.31%.
According to the Central Election Commission on this day, out of a total of 44,197,692 registered voters, 5,442,667 had cast their votes by 3 PM since early voting began at 6 AM, resulting in a nationwide early voting rate of 12.31%.
By region, the early voting rate in the Honam area far exceeded the national average.
At the same time, the early voting rate in Jeonnam was 20.60%, and in Jeonbuk it was 18.32%.
Seoul recorded 11.96%, which was below the national average.
