Boseong-gun Conducts Job, Safety, and Technical Training for Forestry Workers
Simultaneous Launch Ceremony of the Kudzu Vine Removal Specialist Task Force
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 4th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, conducted job, safety, and technical training for forest workers at Jeamsan Natural Recreation Forest and held a launching ceremony for a specialized work team for kudzu vine removal.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the training was conducted in dispersed groups, with 60 workers in the forestry sector participating.
While adhering to quarantine rules, labor contracts were signed, and standards for labor compliance and sanctions against insincere workers were explained before conducting training by field.
Seon Jong-hwan, the Forest Development Manager, focused on job duties, safety, COVID-19 prevention and containment, enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act, and cautions and requests during work.
A county official stated, “This year, we plan to open trails around Gwanjusan, create scenic forests, plant seasonal flowers in Beolgyo Seongeun Park, maintain traditional and specialized village forests in residents’ living areas, open forest trails, and intensively create various resting spaces.”
Meanwhile, Boseong-gun annually employs about 60 forestry workers to carry out activities such as ▲pruning street trees and applying compost, ▲removing kudzu vines from roads and scenic areas, and ▲planting seasonal flowers. Last year, efforts were made to excavate and restore the Guduljang quarry (Dalgujigil) in the 100-year-old apricot tree forest near Boseong Station and the Obongsan area, as well as to open the Haepyeong Lake Shilligil trail.
