IBM Announces Next-Generation Flash Storage to Combat Cyber Attacks
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] IBM announced on the 4th the launch of IBM FlashSystem Cyber Vault, which helps enterprises detect cyberattacks, including ransomware, more effectively and quickly, and recover to a normal state.
According to IBM's 'Cyber Resilience Organization' research, 46% of survey respondents experienced ransomware attacks in the past two years. As cyberattacks continue to increase and the recovery time ranges from several days to weeks on average, companies must bear high risks related to their business and reputation.
In response, IBM's newly launched FlashSystem Cyber Vault is one of the integrated data recovery solutions that simplifies every step of the recovery process from cyberattacks, reducing total recovery time. It not only actively monitors data in real time but also supports rapid recovery through verified restore points even if infected by ransomware.
Dennis Kennelly, General Manager of IBM Storage, stated, "Each company must maximize business agility in everyday operations while facing increasing security threats, and be able to predict and prepare for various cyberattacks. IBM FlashSystem Cyber Vault and the state-of-the-art FlashSystem storage are specially designed to provide the level of performance and security required by hybrid cloud customers."
