Hanwha Solutions Unifies Employee Titles as 'Pro'
"Organizational Restructuring to Foster a Horizontal Culture"
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Hanwha Solutions has confirmed on the 3rd that, as part of fostering a horizontal organizational culture, it will unify employee titles to "Pro" starting this month.
Hanwha Solutions explained that it has integrated the previously five different titles?Sawon (Staff), Daeri (Assistant Manager), Gwajang (Manager), Chajang (Deputy General Manager), and Bujang (General Manager)?into a single title. This personnel system reform applies only to Hanwha Solutions, while other Hanwha Group affiliates will maintain their existing rank and title systems.
Some in the industry analyze that the reform reflects the intentions of Kim Dong-gwan, CEO of Hanwha Solutions and a U.S.-educated executive. Kim, the eldest son of Chairman Kim Seung-yeon, is known for emphasizing a horizontal and flexible organizational culture by directly communicating with operational executives.
