"Starting Again with Coffee" Starbucks Opens Recruitment for 'Restart Support Program' Trainees
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Starbucks Korea announced on the 3rd that it is recruiting trainees for the first half of 2022 'Restart Support Program' in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service until the 11th.
The Restart Support Program supports middle-aged small business owners in reemployment or cafe reestablishment by providing Starbucks' specialized barista training and operational know-how.
Starbucks' first half of 2022 Restart Support Program plans to select about 50 trainees nationwide. Only those who complete the training will be given the opportunity to apply for the hiring process. The hiring locations will be expanded nationwide from the existing Seoul and Busan.
Considering that the training will be conducted at training centers located in Seoul and Busan, the Small Enterprise and Market Service will provide a training allowance of 250,000 KRW to the trainees.

Eligibility requirements are small business owners aged 35 or older who have closed (or plan to close) their business and dream of restarting through barista work or cafe entrepreneurship, and spouses of such small business owners (born on or before December 31, 1988). Trainees will be finally selected through document screening and interviews.
