Lee Don-seung, Deputy Head of the Democratic Party's Election Committee, Launches 'Early Voting Encouragement Team'

[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Lee Don-seung, Deputy Head of the Organization Headquarters of the Democratic Party’s Lee Jae-myung Presidential Campaign, who is known to be running for Wanju County Governor in the upcoming June local elections, appealed for the active participation of Wanju residents in early voting through the formation and activities of the ‘Early Voting Encouragement Team.’

The ‘20th Presidential Election Early Voting Encouragement Team,’ composed of Deputy Head Lee and about 30 party members and supporters, plans to strongly urge Wanju County voters to participate in early voting by visiting key locations throughout Wanju County until the day before the early voting days, which will be held over two days on March 4 and 5.

At the launch ceremony, Deputy Head Lee emphasized, “This presidential election is an election for overcoming the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, restoring people’s livelihoods, and securing a better future for us. The people must choose who is more suitable as the leader to lead the Republic of Korea.”

He continued, “In this presidential election, expected to be an unprecedentedly close race, the key to victory is a voter turnout rate of over 80% in Jeonbuk, including Wanju County. Wanju County recorded turnout rates of 32.68% in the 19th presidential election in 2017, 30.29% in the 7th local elections in 2018, and 37.06% in the 21st general election in 2020. Therefore, we will actively work to exceed 40% in this early voting.”

Deputy Head Lee stated, “Anyone can make rosy promises, but not everyone can put them into practice. Let us realize the dream of a great transformation of the Republic of Korea and the development of Wanju County as a hydrogen car specialized city by choosing Lee Jae-myung.”
