ICK Signs 5.1 Billion KRW IC Card Material Supply Contract with KB Kookmin Card
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] ICK announced on the 2nd that it has signed an annual contract worth 5.1 billion KRW for IC card materials with KB Kookmin Card. This amount corresponds to 18% of the 2020 sales revenue. ICK supplies card raw materials used for check cards and credit cards to KB Kookmin Card.
A company official explained, "We will continue to strive to actively supply IC credit cards and metal cards to various domestic and international card companies even after the contract."
Founded in 1998, ICK is a manufacturer of electronic money credit cards and smart cards. It has manufacturing certifications from Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, JCB, and Amex, and supplies various IC chip cards to banks and card companies.
Recently, it also introduced the ‘Tap to Pay’ service called Cellfie. Cellfie is an Android-based 'Tap to Pay' solution that enables payments without a card terminal by utilizing the smartphone’s Near Field Communication (NFC) function. Offline payments can be made using only a smartphone, and online payments can be made through various methods such as QR codes and barcodes.

ICK has signed a fee-sharing agreement with Ant&Bee, which holds the patent for Cellfie.
