[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 28th that it opened ‘Hwaljuro Store,’ an online shopping mall exclusively for social enterprises, on the 22nd to support the expansion of sales channels for social enterprises.
Since 2019, the corporation has taken the lead in revitalizing the local economy by fostering excellent social enterprises through customized support systems tailored to the growth stages of companies, including startup funding, expert management consulting, mentoring for outstanding companies, promotion, and funding support.
Hwaljuro Store is an online shopping mall where 55 social enterprises that have grown excellently through the corporation’s sales channel support sell a total of 275 products across various fields such as furniture, home appliances, interior, health, lifestyle, and beauty.
Customers using Hwaljuro Store can purchase high-quality products at discounted prices ranging from a minimum of 10% to a maximum of 30% through special sales events, along with various discount benefits such as free shipping events and SNS follow events.
The corporation plans to continuously increase the number of products listed, aiming to support sales channels for a total of 100 companies and over 400 products over the next three years. It also plans to thoroughly manage product quality and service levels and consider expanding into offline stores.
In particular, all profits generated from operating the shopping mall will be used to promote social enterprises and improve sales services. Ultimately, it is expected to establish a virtuous cycle social contribution model.
