According to Yecheon County, on the 22nd, Yecheon County Governor Kim Hak-dong and related officials visited the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Office to explain the necessity of major national and provincial projects for the next year and requested cooperation. On the 25th, they visited the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to explain the special grant projects for the first half of the year to Choi Man-rim, Director of Local Finance Policy, and Kim Kyung-tae, Head of the Grants Division.
They explained the necessity of three projects: the undergrounding of power lines and road restoration project in Yecheon-eup, the construction of the Korea Athletics Federation Education and Training Center, and the expansion of the water supply area in Yongmunsun-ri for Yecheon’s waterworks, actively requesting 5 billion KRW in special grants.
A county official said, “We will actively propose special grant projects to overcome the poor local financial conditions and do our best to develop into a central city of Gyeongbuk Province.”
