Asiana Airlines, Special Promotion on Australia Working Holiday Discount Airfare
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Asiana Airlines announced on the 28th that it will conduct a special airfare promotion for Australian working holiday visas in collaboration with the Australia Tourism Board.
Asiana Airlines is offering a discount of up to 70,000 to 100,000 KRW on airfares to working holiday participants using Asiana Airlines, in line with the Australia Tourism Board's working holiday campaign titled "Work and Travel in Australia!" targeting young people from seven countries including Korea.
The promotion will run from next month 1st to April 19th. After obtaining a visa, entering the visa number on the Asiana Airlines website will display a dedicated Australian working holiday page where special airfare tickets can be purchased.
Additionally, the Australia Tourism Board will fully refund the visa application fee of 495 Australian dollars (approximately 450,000 KRW) upon arrival in Australia for working holiday visa holders who have completed COVID-19 vaccinations, until June 30th.
The visa application fee refund is available until the end of this year, and detailed information on the application method can be found on the Australian government website.
An Asiana Airlines official stated, "This joint promotion was launched in line with the Australian federal government's policy to alleviate labor shortages and encourage travel as of January 19th. Despite the ongoing spread of COVID-19, we plan to respond to the normalization of flights through flexible route operations in accordance with the gradually expanding easing of entry restrictions."
