[Yeongam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, will recruit participants for the Automobile Carbon Point System, which reduces greenhouse gases through eco-friendly driving practices, from March 2 to April 6.
The Automobile Carbon Point System is a program that provides incentives of up to 100,000 KRW based on the reduction in vehicle driving distance.
This year, a total of 48 vehicles will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participation is limited to one vehicle per person, targeting non-commercial passenger cars and vans with 12 seats or fewer. Eco-friendly vehicles (electric, hybrid, hydrogen, etc.) and vehicles registered in Seoul are excluded.
Participants can apply by registering on the Automobile Carbon Point System website and submitting supporting documents such as a front photo of the vehicle, a photo of the odometer, and, if necessary, the vehicle registration certificate.
For more details, please visit the Automobile Carbon Point System website.
A Yeongam-gun official stated, “We hope residents actively participate in the Automobile Carbon Point System, which is a greenhouse gas reduction activity that can be practiced in daily life as part of the government’s 2050 carbon neutrality implementation.”
