On the 25th, NS Home Shopping announced on the 28th that it signed a business agreement with the Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute at Beauty Play in Myeongdong, Jung-gu, Seoul, to promote the Korean cosmetics industry. Attendees included Wonju Lee, Head of QA Division at NS Home Shopping, Dahee Yoo, QA2 Team Leader, Jae-ran Lee, Director of the Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute, Sang-hoon Park, Director, and Chang-joo Hwang, CEO of Taeyoung (NS Home Shopping partner company).
The Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute is a specialized research organization established through joint participation by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, local governments, and private companies to enhance the international competitiveness of the cosmetics industry and improve public health.
At the signing ceremony, NS Home Shopping and the Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute agreed to cooperate for the success of the Beauty Play project. Located opposite Myeongdong Cathedral, Beauty Play is the only open-type beauty experience space in Korea, supported by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and operated by the Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute. It is a comprehensive K-beauty platform where visitors can experience and enjoy everything from brand promotion to live commerce and share it worldwide. It began pilot operations in September last year.
Through this agreement, NS Home Shopping plans to exhibit products from small and medium-sized cosmetics partner companies in part of the Beauty Play space and support brand promotion and market expansion. They will support content production such as insert videos and actively promote the Beauty Play project through dual live broadcasts on TV home shopping and live commerce. Additionally, outstanding small and medium-sized cosmetics brands located in Beauty Play will be selected and introduced to NS Home Shopping’s sales channels such as TV and mobile applications (apps) to help expand their market reach.
