[Asia Economy reporters Naju-seok and Lee Myung-hwan] Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, promised on the 25th to propose legislative agendas related to political reform as party policy.
At the 2nd presidential candidate debate hosted by the National Election Commission, Lee said, "The Democratic Party will propose legislation as party policy through a party caucus," adding, "You can expect a power-decentralized system."
Regarding the direction of political reform, he stated, "It is necessary to strengthen the authority of the National Assembly," and added, "Even if it requires a constitutional amendment, such as relocating the Board of Audit and Inspection to the National Assembly, it is necessary."

Sim Sang-jung, the Justice Party presidential candidate, asked, "Do you intend to make a commitment not to create satellite parties?" Lee responded, "The satellite party issue arises because it can create a dominant ruling party, so we cannot avoid it as a countermeasure," and added, "It must be blocked through legislation."
