Changwon City to Fully Launch Public Job Program on March 2... Expecting 'V Turn' in Livelihood Economy
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Changwon City in Gyeongnam will start the public job project for the first half of this year from March 2.
Changwon City recruited participants for the public work project, local community job project, and daily quarantine project respectively in January to prepare for the project start.
The first half project includes the public work project, environmental maintenance and administrative assistant work at public institutions, local community job project, and resource recycling projects such as sorting recyclable waste.
The project will be conducted for four months from March 2 to the end of June, and participants aged 34 or younger will work 30 hours per week for 5 days, those aged 64 or younger will work 20 hours per week for 5 days, and those aged 65 or older will work 15 hours per week for 5 days.
Based on the 2022 minimum wage of 9,160 KRW per hour, monthly salary, snack allowance, and weekly/monthly leave allowances will be paid.
The city stated that due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the rapid spread of the Omicron variant through close daily contact, the daily quarantine project was started first from the 14th for citizen safety.
