White House "Ready to Accommodate Ukrainian Refugees"
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The U.S. government has announced that it is prepared to accept Ukrainian refugees fleeing Russia's invasion.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responded "Yes" on the 24th (local time) during a press briefing when asked if the U.S. was ready to accept Ukrainian refugees.
The U.S. government also plans to cooperate with European countries near Ukraine in coping with the increasing influx of refugees.
Psaki stated, "However, most refugees are expected to want to go to European countries or neighboring nations," adding, "For example, Poland has seen an increase in refugee arrivals over the past 24 hours."

She continued, "We are currently discussing with European countries what is needed and the scale of acceptance," and said, "We have been in talks with Europe on this issue."
