View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Lotte Chemical is partnering with the National Fire Agency to enhance the welfare of firefighters and their families, as well as to promote fire prevention activities for vulnerable groups.
On the 25th, Lotte Chemical and the National Fire Agency announced that they signed an "Agreement for the Promotion of Firefighter Welfare and Fire Prevention for Vulnerable Groups" at Lotte World Tower. The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Kyohyun, Vice Chairman and CEO of Lotte Chemical, Lee Heungkyo, Commissioner of the National Fire Agency, and Kim Cheoljong, Standing Advisor of the Korea Retired Firefighters Association.
Through this agreement, Lotte Chemical will provide approximately 500 million KRW over three years to support firefighter psychological counseling and Silver Generation Safety Guardian activities. The Safety Guardian activities involve retired firefighters providing safety education to middle-aged and older adults and supplying firefighting safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and detectors. The National Fire Agency will support these activities and provide firefighting safety education programs to Lotte Chemical. The Firefighters Association will assist with purchasing firefighting safety equipment. Lotte Chemical will continue its support for firefighter health management devices, firefighter family performance invitation events, and supply support, which it has been conducting since 2018.
