Ministry of Foreign Affairs Joins Statement Condemning Russia as a 'Democratic Community'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the 24th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs joined a statement condemning Russia regarding the situation in Ukraine, together with the member states of the Community of Democracies Steering Committee, including the United States, Japan, Canada, Lithuania, Estonia, and Finland.
The members of the Community of Democracies Steering Committee stated, "We support Ukraine's democracy, sovereignty, and territorial integrity," and added, "The Community of Democracies strongly condemns Russia's continued hostile actions against Ukraine and clearly supports the Ukrainian people's aspiration for democracy."
