Russian Defense Ministry: "Precision Strikes on Ukrainian Military Facilities... No Shelling Targeting Cities"

According to the report, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that "using precision weapons, we are attacking Ukraine's military infrastructure," adding that "military infrastructure, air defense systems, military airports, and Ukrainian aircraft have been damaged by precision weapons." It further emphasized, "The Russian military does not carry out missile attacks or shelling targeting Ukrainian cities," and "there is nothing threatening Ukrainian civilians."
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared the start of a special military operation in the early morning, and foreign media reported a series of explosions in several cities including Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
