Introducing SME Innovative Technologies to Smart Cities like Sejong and Busan... Open for Applications Until the 25th of Next Month
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport Provides a Total of 3.79 Billion KRW Support for 14 Projects Including Infrastructure, Transportation, and Health
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 24th that it will open a public contest from the 24th of this month to the 25th of next month for companies to demonstrate services applying innovative technologies in Sejong and Busan, designated as national pilot smart cities.
This contest was planned with the purpose of selecting and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises possessing innovative technologies applicable to the national pilot cities to strengthen the smart city industrial ecosystem.
A total of up to 14 excellent technologies suitable for the pilot cities will be discovered across five fields, with up to 300 million KRW per project and a total of 3.79 billion KRW provided as demonstration costs.
The contest fields are ▲ Smart Infrastructure (up to 4 projects) ▲ Transportation & Logistics (up to 5 projects) ▲ Health & Education (up to 4 projects) ▲ Energy & Environment (up to 4 projects) ▲ Safety & Living (up to 5 projects). The number of projects per field may be adjusted during the selection process.
Support will primarily be provided to small and medium-sized enterprises, while large companies can only participate in consortiums with less than 30% equity share.

The selection results will be announced in April, and the demonstration projects are scheduled to be conducted until November.
