2022 Asia Fund Awards - Best Distributor
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Samsung Securities, selected as the Best Distributor in the 2022 Asia Economy Fund Awards, has revised its Financial Consumer Protection Charter and conducts an additional review from the financial consumer's perspective before products and services are provided. As a result, it received an A+ rating for four consecutive years in the ‘2020 Fund Distributor Evaluation’ by the Korea Financial Investment Consumer Protection Foundation. This is the first time in the industry to receive the highest rating for four consecutive years.
Samsung Securities focuses on mystery shopping and step-by-step product sales systems in its operations. Mystery shopping emphasizes improving service levels and strengthening customer investment protection through quarterly internal monitoring. Since 2020, the scope of mystery shopping evaluations has been expanded to include all Private Bankers (PBs), and additional open monitoring has been conducted to standardize and elevate the quality of employee fund consultations.

The step-by-step product sales system has been built even more meticulously. The ‘Early Warning System,’ operated as a pre-management system for product sales, has become an established method for branches to conduct internal monitoring and prepare to prevent incomplete sales. In addition to early warnings, a ‘Financial Product Sales Inspection Checklist’ has been introduced to review the entire consultation process to ensure no necessary steps are omitted during product sales, thereby preventing incomplete sales. After product subscription, customers are provided with post-management services such as incomplete sales compensation services, purchase withdrawal services, and financial care.
