Korea Cancer Research Foundation and Boryung Pharmaceutical Announce the 21st Boryung Cancer Academic Award Competition
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Korea Cancer Research Foundation and Boryung Pharmaceutical announced on the 23rd that they are recruiting candidates for the 21st Boryung Cancer Academic Award.
The application period is until March 31, and eligibility requires at least 5 years of research experience in the field of oncology. Research achievements will be evaluated based on papers published in domestic and international professional journals during the recent 3 years (January 1, 2019 ? December 31, 2021).
The recipient of the Boryung Cancer Academic Award will be selected as one final winner through the review of the Achievement Evaluation Committee and the Operating Committee, and will be awarded a plaque and a prize of 30 million KRW.
The Boryung Cancer Academic Award was jointly established in 2002 by the Korea Cancer Research Foundation and Boryung Pharmaceutical to honor scholars who have contributed to improving public health through cancer eradication research. Starting with the first recipient, Professor Kim Woo-ho of Seoul National University College of Medicine, the award is now in its 21st year and is recognized as the most prestigious award in the field of oncology in Korea.

The winner of the 20th Boryung Cancer Academic Award last year was Professor Cho Byung-chul of the Department of Internal Medicine, Yonsei University College of Medicine (Director of the Lung Cancer Center at Yonsei Cancer Hospital, Sinchon Yonsei Severance Hospital).
