[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] KMI Korea Medical Institute announced on the 23rd that it will implement mental health screening services at its affiliated health screening centers.
KMI has introduced the ‘Ma-eum Geomjin’ (Mind Checkup) service, which screens for six mental disorders and job-related stress, at seven KMI health screening centers nationwide (Gwanghwamun, Yeouido, Gangnam, Suwon, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju).
Ma-eum Geomjin uses interactive clinical questionnaires provided via smartphone and simultaneous measurement of digital biomarkers (HRV) to screen for major mental disorders and assess workers' job stress.
Clinical trials to enhance the six major mental disorder screening models were conducted at specialized institutions such as Severance Hospital, and personal information de-identification technology was applied to protect privacy.
