[Haman News] Haman Youth Startup Academy Completion Ceremony ... Selected for Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project for 3 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju-cheol In] Haman-gun, Gyeongnam, held a completion ceremony for the ‘Haman Youth Entrepreneurs Creating Tomorrow’ startup academy targeting young entrepreneurs.
The academy, held for prospective young entrepreneurs, had 22 graduates. The course, conducted over 3 days totaling 20 hours, included startup support education (basic and advanced), mentoring (homeroom and professional), and group mentoring sessions.
◆ Haman-gun to invest 2.4 billion KRW this year in livestock quarantine and livestock product hygiene sectors
Haman-gun will invest a total budget of 2.4 billion KRW to prevent disaster-type livestock diseases and produce safe livestock food products.
The budget covers four major areas with about 30 projects: quarantine policy support, establishment of livestock disease prevention systems, operation of livestock quarantine measures, and livestock product hygiene management.
First, in the quarantine policy support area, about 1 billion KRW will be invested in 13 projects including support for preventive medicines and antiparasitic drugs (17 types), blood sampling fees for bovine tuberculosis and brucellosis (9,100 heads), support for quarantine activities by public veterinarians (6 persons), operation of control posts and disinfection cost support (2 locations), and a pilot project for livestock disease treatment insurance.
In the livestock disease prevention system establishment area, about 500 million KRW has been allocated for 11 projects such as foot-and-mouth disease vaccines and vaccination procedure fees for full-time and small-scale farms (22,000 heads), and guidance support for pig wasting disease (5 farms).
Additionally, 800 million KRW will be invested in 6 projects under livestock quarantine measure operations, including disease management for poultry farms (5 farms), establishment of quarantine infrastructure such as CCTV, GPS, and fences, operation of joint control teams, and compensation for culling.
In the livestock product hygiene management area, about 100 million KRW will support 6 projects including consulting on livestock product safety management certification standards, support for beef traceability system, and promotion of livestock product exports.
In particular, to manage the continuous livestock quarantine system, the comprehensive livestock quarantine center will be operated and maintained 24 hours a day.
◆ Selected for the Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project for 3 consecutive years
Haman-gun, Gyeongnam, has been selected for the Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project for three consecutive years.
Haman-gun was finally selected in the ‘2022 Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project’ competition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and promoted by the Korea Energy Agency, securing 1.152 billion KRW in national funds.
With the selection of this project, a total of 2.25 billion KRW will be invested, including 1.152 billion KRW in national funds, 698 million KRW in county funds, and 400 million KRW in private contributions, to install 159 solar power sites (993 kW) and 63 solar thermal sites (406㎡) in the areas of Haman-myeon, Gunbuk-myeon, Sanin-myeon, and Yeohang-myeon.
The Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project is a project that supplies two or more renewable energy sources such as solar power and solar thermal energy to specific regions or buildings to promote the spread of renewable energy.
Through this project, households installing solar power and solar thermal systems are expected to reduce costs such as electricity bills by about 400,000 to 500,000 KRW annually.
