Overseas Koreans from 26 Countries Relay Support Declarations for Candidate Lee Jae-myung
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Overseas Koreans residing in 26 countries have declared their support for Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea.
On the 22nd, the Seoul, Professional, and Overseas Korean Special Advisory Group directly under Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung announced that they held a Zoom video conference to solidify support for the candidate, with voluntary participation from overseas voters living across the five oceans and six continents.
The Zoom video conference began with a welcoming address from Assemblyman Moon Jin-seok, the standing deputy head of the candidate’s general advisory group. Overseas Koreans participating in the conference confidently listed the noticeably increasing support trends for the candidate in their resident countries, expressing certainty of victory. Notably, the 2030 generation residing abroad participated in this Zoom conference, drawing attention.
The advisory group stated, "We have held over ten Zoom meetings so far, during which encouragement and gratitude messages from Assemblymen Ahn Min-seok and Moon were also delivered," adding, "There were also calls to make this candidate president for the future development of Korea."
