According to Gyeongsangnam-do on the 22nd, as of midnight, there were 4,839 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the cumulative total to 88,163. Except for 10 cases from overseas arrivals, all are local infections.
By region, Changwon reported 1,592 cases, Gimhae 908, Jinju 572, Yangsan 556, Geoje 369, Tongyeong 193, Sacheon 111, Geochang 76, Changnyeong 75, Miryang 72, Goseong 67, Haman 61, Hamyang 54, Hapcheon 36, Hadong 28, Namhae 27, Uiryeong 22, and Sancheong 20.
Deaths have also occurred. The health authorities reported that two patients in their 60s with underlying conditions have died.
Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province has risen to 88,163 (733 hospitalized, 32,686 under home treatment, 54,620 discharged, and 124 deaths).
