Gominja Gwangju Fire Headquarters Chief Conducts 'Special Fire Inspection' at Vote Counting Centers Ahead of Presidential Election
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Go Minja, head of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Fire Safety Headquarters, conducted a special fire safety inspection at Bitgoeul Gymnasium, the counting center in Seo-gu district, in preparation for the 20th presidential election.
This inspection was carried out to strengthen fire safety management by preemptively eliminating risk factors at voting and counting centers within the district before the election and to create a safe election environment.
At the site, Head Go checked fire safety management items including ▲whether fire safety facilities were operating normally ▲whether evacuation facilities such as emergency exits were secured ▲and provided safety education on emergency response methods for voting and counting center personnel, urging the habitual practice of safety awareness and prevention.
Additionally, the Fire Safety Headquarters will conduct special fire safety inspections by the 25th at 469 voting and counting centers in the Gwangju area (367 polling stations, 97 early voting stations, and 5 counting centers) to verify the securing of evacuation facilities and other safety measures.
