Recruitment for Participants in Gwangju Dong-gu 'Our Child Reading 100 Picture Books Challenge'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Dong-gu, Gwangju announced that it is operating the 'Our Child's 100 Picture Books Reading Challenge' for preschool children to help them develop reading habits, and is recruiting participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
This challenge involves lending a carefully selected bundle of 120 books from various fields that can enhance emotional stability and creativity, and participants are to read 10 books each week for 10 weeks, totaling 100 books.
Applications have been accepted since the 17th through the Dong-gu Library website. For more details, please check the Culture Yard section on the Dong-gu Library website.
A Dong-gu official stated, "In line with the era of daily life during COVID-19, we will continue to make efforts to create a reading-friendly Dong-gu by preparing various programs for children, including education involving parents."
