The non-union delivery alliance representative said they will make a protest visit. Due to this, there is a possibility of clashes during the large-scale rally by the delivery union on the 21st, which cannot be ruled out.
Kim Seul-gi, the leader of the Non-union Delivery Drivers Alliance, said in a statement on the 19th, "On Monday the 21st, the delivery union plans to declare a solidarity strike not only at CJ Logistics but also with unions of all delivery companies," adding, "At 10 a.m., Kim Seul-gi will make a protest visit and release a statement in front of the headquarters, which is currently illegally occupied and on strike."
The delivery union began striking on December 28 last year, citing CJ Logistics' failure to properly implement social agreements, and has been occupying the headquarters since the 10th.
Kim said, "Due to the prolonged delivery strike, companies cannot send shipments smoothly as before, so to protect their clients, they are sending shipments from strike areas via other delivery services or quick couriers," pointing out, "As a result, the cost of using other delivery services exceeds the monthly commission from a single client, causing a reversal of priorities."
The non-union delivery drivers disclosed data emphasizing that the damage amount seen by delivery drivers (SM) due to sending via other delivery services over 12 days reached 1,492,150 KRW.
