G7 to Hold Virtual Summit on 24th to Discuss Ukraine Situation

Amid ongoing tensions over the possibility of Russia invading Ukraine, leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) are set to hold a virtual summit next week to discuss response measures, AFP and Sputnik news agencies reported on the 18th.
According to the reports, German authorities, as the rotating chair of the G7, announced that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will host a virtual meeting of G7 leaders on the 24th (local time).

The G7 member countries include the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, and Canada. Additionally, G7 foreign ministers are scheduled to meet separately during the international security conference held in Munich, Germany, on the 19th.
