About 20 officials from related organizations attended the meeting, including representatives from Uljin County, the East Coast Regional Headquarters, Korea Rural Community Corporation, Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology East Sea Research Institute, East Coast Industrial Research Institute, and Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation.
The meeting was organized to share marine sector pending projects such as the Uljin Marine Healing Center construction project and the regional marine bio hub construction project promoted by Uljin County with Gyeongbuk Province and related organizations, and to gather opinions and policy proposals on the development direction of Uljin County's future new growth industries.
The county listened to opinions on the intermediate design of the Marine Healing Center construction project, which is being promoted as a key project. They also took time to review the Marine Healing Center's programs and operational plans.

Kim Sang-deok, Director of the Nuclear Power Future Strategy Office, said, “We will ensure that future new growth engine projects such as the Marine Healing Center, which will be completed soon, become not only a landmark of Uljin County but also a representative site of Korea's marine new industry beyond the East Coast.”
