[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Na Kyung-won, the head of the People Power Party's general election campaign headquarters, criticized the Moon Jae-in administration on the 17th and appealed for support for Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate.
Na said in a post on her Facebook page that afternoon, "The five years of the Moon Jae-in administration took away the dream of owning a home and the dream of having a job," adding, "Through submissive diplomacy toward North Korea and China, it crushed our national pride. It destroyed our security. And it took away our freedom."
She continued, "Now, 20 days later, let's create a Republic of Korea where justice, fairness, and common sense win through a change of government," and said, "Candidate Yoon, who bravely fought against the incumbent power, will correct the Republic of Korea with a strong sense of justice and determination."

Earlier, Na addressed the controversy over a recently released photo showing candidate Yoon sitting with his shoe resting on a train seat, saying, "I understand he has a foot condition."
Na appeared on YTN's "Hwang Bo-seon's Start New Morning" on the 16th and said, "He has spasms and discomfort when standing for a long time, so I think he probably put his foot up because of that, but regardless, it was wrong."
She added, "During elections, there are big and small controversies. Previously, there were controversies about putting feet on the head seat or stepping on it. I think the Democratic Party is so desperate that they blow up minor issues, even though we made mistakes."
In response, Jeon Yong-gi, spokesperson for the Democratic Party's election campaign committee, fiercely criticized on Facebook, saying, "Former lawmaker Na's 'excuse' is unprecedented. This controversy once again showed how inconsistent the People Power Party is."
Jeon said, "Some say it's spasms, some say it's a condition. Which is correct? How can someone with a foot condition wear shoes and put their foot up?"
Meanwhile, candidate Yoon claimed the current administration's real estate policy was "deliberate and malicious."
At a campaign rally in Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province, Yoon said, "Look at this government's real estate policy. Does it make sense to have done it 28 times?" He added, "They raised housing prices to divide those lucky enough to own a home from those who are not, trying to make people without homes vote for the Democratic Party. This would never happen if things were done reasonably."
