View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Recently, Go Minjeong, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK), and Lee Junseok, the leader of the People Power Party (PPP), who had a sharp dispute over 'animal rights,' engaged in another heated exchange online. Go directly accused Lee of allegations of sexual bribery, and Lee retorted by asking if she watches the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' (Gaseyeon), which raised the allegations.
Earlier, Go, who serves as co-chair of the DPK's Animal Rights Committee in the party's presidential campaign headquarters, posted photos of dogs with the phrase "We support candidate Lee Jae-myung!" on the 14th, saying, "So many companion animals have expressed their support."
In response, Lee said on the 16th, "What’s really strange about the Democratic Party is that the basic principle of animal rights is not to use animals as tools, but using animals as tools for election campaigns itself shows a misunderstanding of animal rights."
He added, "There can be no expression of will from animals regarding the companion animal policies proposed by the Democratic Party. If you seriously want to discuss animal rights, I’m open to it," and wrote, "Here’s a homework assignment for Representative Go: 'Animal Rights'." Lee also criticized Go’s election campaign as "just a concept act."
Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party, visited Sodap Market in Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, on the morning of the 17th to appeal for support for candidate Yoon Seok-yeol.

In response, Go posted again on Facebook, saying, "The leader of that party seems to have too much free time. Don’t you know this is a presidential election?" and "What the public wants to see is not Go Minjeong vs. Lee Junseok, but a policy debate between Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Jae-myung."
She continued, "You keep stepping forward, but you should have first persuaded candidate Yoon Seok-yeol, who has been extremely avoiding debates," and questioned, "Since the party leader likes debates so much, why has the People Power Party candidate been avoiding them? Isn’t it that the leader is not fulfilling his role properly?"
She also added, "I almost forgot, but I think the People’s Party asked whether the sexual bribery allegations were true. Have you done that homework?"
Lee then sarcastically replied on Facebook, "I think I know which YouTube channel Representative Go subscribes to," and said, "Thank you for working hard today as well. Keep up the energetic fighting." This appears to refer to the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute,' which raised the 'sexual bribery allegations' against him.
