Aekyung Industrial Introduces Single-Material Packaging for 'Spark 3kg Refill'
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Aekyung Industrial announced on the 17th that it has introduced single-material packaging for the 3kg refill product of its flagship laundry detergent brand ‘Spark’ (SPARK).
Aekyung Industrial expects that with the introduction of this single-material packaging, approximately 450,000 Spark 3kg refill packages per year will be changed from composite materials to single materials. Through this, it anticipates a reduction of more than 1.7 tons of carbon emissions.
The single-material packaging introduced this time is a result of the project ‘Standardization of Packaging Materials for Household Goods and Cosmetics,’ which is one of the initiatives under the ‘MOU for Creating an Eco-friendly Plastic Ecosystem’ signed between Aekyung Industrial and SK Geocentric in March last year.
