'Recovery Certificate' for Quarantine Pass Can Be Issued Online One Week After Confirmation
Isolation Criteria Change Improves Issuance Date from 10 Days After Diagnosis to 7 Days After Diagnosis
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The COVID-19 recovery certificate applicable to the quarantine pass (vaccination proof and negative test confirmation system) can now be issued one week after diagnosis.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that starting from the 16th, electronic certification and online issuance of COVID-19 recovery certificates for the quarantine pass will be implemented. Issuance will be possible from 7 days after the diagnosis date.
The recovery certificate is issued when a person confirmed positive for COVID-19 through a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is released from isolation. Previously, electronic certification and online issuance were available from 10 days after the diagnosis date, but following the revision of isolation guidelines for confirmed cases on the 9th due to the Omicron variant response system, it has been improved to be available from 7 days after diagnosis.
Those who have not completed the second vaccination (one dose for Janssen) can use the recovery certificate as a quarantine pass proof valid for 180 days from the date of release from isolation.
The electronic certificate can be issued as a recovery certificate after identity verification through the COOV app or linked electronic entry log platforms (such as Naver and Kakao). Paper certificates can also be printed from the quarantine pass integrated verification certificate issuance website.

For those who have completed the second vaccination, upon release from isolation after COVID-19 confirmation, the electronic certificate will be issued by deleting the expiration date of the existing vaccination certificate. If confirmed positive after completing the second vaccination, this applies from the day of release from isolation; if the second vaccination is completed after confirmation, it applies from 14 days after the vaccination.
