Namwon-si Recruiting Students for 'Lifelong Learning Center Program' Until the 24th
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Jeonbuk Namwon City announced on the 16th that it will recruit students for the first half of the year lifelong learning center programs from the 21st to the 24th.
This first half lifelong learning center program will recruit about 510 people for a total of 43 courses including Art Psychology Counselor Course, Barista Certification Course, Basic Computer Office Automation, Flower Styling, Woodworking, Bowling, Design Candle Making, Watercolor Painting, and Baking.
The programs are scheduled to run for four months from next month 2nd to June 30th.
Eligibility to apply is open to any Namwon citizen, and the application method is to proceed online on a first-come, first-served basis after mobile phone verification through the Namwon City website's ‘Integrated Reservation and Application System’.
Each person can apply for up to two courses, but on the first day of registration, only one course per person can be applied for.
The tuition fee is 32,000 KRW (for 4 months), and textbook and material costs must be borne separately by the individual. Basic livelihood security recipients, persons with disabilities, national merit recipients (themselves), and those aged 65 or older are exempt from tuition fees for one course.
Course syllabi can be checked for each lecture through the website.
A city official said, “The lifelong learning center programs are representative lifelong learning projects that attract active interest and participation from citizens, with full enrollment as soon as registration opens every year,” and added, “We will do our best to provide a safe learning environment by complying with quarantine guidelines.”
