Memorandum of Understanding between National Palace Museum and National Science Museum
Promotion of Collaborative Research, Provision of Expert Personnel, and Technical Support
The National Palace Museum of Korea and the National Science Museum will sign a memorandum of understanding on the afternoon of the 16th to promote the preservation and utilization of scientific cultural heritage. The main points include ▲ maintaining a cooperative relationship and promoting continuous joint research ▲ providing and cooperating with collections, materials, equipment, and expert personnel ▲ technical support and cooperation for exhibition installation ▲ smooth operation and maintenance of exhibits. A consultative body will be formed to ensure smooth implementation.

The National Palace Museum of Korea is a specialized museum of the Joseon royal family and the Korean Empire royal culture. It houses representative scientific cultural heritage of Joseon such as the Cheonsang Yeolcha Bunya Jido Gakseok, the Cheugudae (both National Treasures), and the Angbuilgu (Treasure). The National Science Museum is an institution that exhibits and offers experiences in cutting-edge science and technology culture. A representative of the National Palace Museum of Korea explained, "Since we share the commonality of possessing and exhibiting scientific cultural heritage, this cooperative relationship can contribute to public services related to scientific cultural heritage."
