HiteJinro's Wine Sales Up 45% Last Year... "Aiming for Top 5 Importers by 2026"
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] HiteJinro announced on the 16th that its wine sales increased by 45% compared to the previous year.
HiteJinro explained, "The increase in 'home drinking' (drinking at home) and the popularization of wine have boosted wine sales," adding, "Compared to 2015, when we first began expanding our wine portfolio in earnest, this represents more than a fourfold growth." HiteJinro launched over 120 new wines last year alone and currently imports about 600 wines from 11 countries.
Reflecting the market shift from predominantly red wine to a wider variety of categories, HiteJinro plans to continue strengthening its differentiated portfolio this year and sustain growth by securing new wine distribution channels.
