[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Social Service Institute announced on the 16th that the overall satisfaction score for the '2021 Care Service Users and Guardians Satisfaction Survey' was evaluated at 89.4 points.
This survey was conducted with 21 affiliated institutions, including 12 comprehensive home care centers, 2 daycare centers, and 7 daycare centers, as well as 933 care service users and guardians.
The scores for each item of overall satisfaction were ▲Comfort of service provision environment (94.0 points) ▲Publicness that provides universal and practical help to Seoul citizens' lives (93.7 points) ▲Benefit that supports stable social activities (92.4 points) ▲Safety such as human rights protection (92.3 points), showing high satisfaction in that order.
In addition, by service type, visiting bathing received the highest evaluation with 94.1 points, followed by day and night care with 92.8 points, visiting nursing with 92.7 points, and after-school programs for adolescents with developmental disabilities with 92.3 points.
These results are relatively high compared to institutions that have been providing care services for more than 10 years. The Seoul Social Service Institute analyzed that actively providing services despite the care gaps caused by the COVID-19 pandemic led to the high scores.
On the other hand, differences in public service distinctiveness, service quality differences among providers, and support for activities for the disabled were identified as areas needing improvement. The Seoul Social Service Institute plans to hold an online satisfaction survey results briefing session on the same day to share the results and discuss implications and improvement plans accordingly.

Hwang Jeong-il, CEO of the Seoul Social Service Institute, explained, “We will make efforts to utilize the results of this satisfaction survey well to improve services and strengthen quality management, creating a care environment that Seoul citizens can be more satisfied with.”
