Asiana Airlines Achieves Operating Profit of 456.5 Billion KRW Last Year... Successful Return to Profitability
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Asiana Airlines succeeded in turning its operating profit positive last year despite the impact of COVID-19.
Asiana Airlines announced on the 15th that its separate financial statements showed sales of 4,110.4 billion KRW and operating profit of 456.5 billion KRW last year. The net loss for the period was 279 billion KRW.
Last year's sales increased by 15.5% compared to the previous year (3,559.9 billion KRW). Although it recorded an operating loss of 63.1 billion KRW in 2020, it turned to a profit last year. The net loss for the period decreased from 397.5 billion KRW in 2020.
