Government and Local Governments Introduce 'Active Administration Evaluation System'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The government has introduced a 'Proactive Administration Comprehensive Evaluation' targeting 243 local governments nationwide, providing financial benefits to outstanding institutions and granting mileage points upon recognition of proactive administration.
The Office for Government Policy Coordination, the Ministry of Personnel Management, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Government Legislation, and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announced the '2022 Proactive Administration Promotion Plan' with these details on the 15th.
According to this plan, the government will grant mileage points upon recognition of proactive administration and pilot the 'Proactive Administration Mileage Bank System' this year, which immediately rewards with special leave upon reaching a certain score, and will expand it to all institutions from next year.

Additionally, the top-performing ministries in the proactive administration evaluation will be designated as 'Proactive Administration Leading Ministries,' receiving incentives such as increased overseas training personnel, and legal support for proactive administration officials will be extended not only to current but also retired officials.
