Naju-si Begins Distribution of '2nd Disaster Relief Fund'
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do, has started distributing the ‘2nd Self Disaster Relief Fund’ to overcome the livelihood economy crisis caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the city on the 14th, this disaster relief fund will provide all citizens with 100,000 KRW worth of Naju Love Gift Certificates per person, the same as the 1st relief fund distributed last February.
The recipients include 116,962 people, including foreign permanent residents and marriage immigrants, and the city plans to spend about 17 billion KRW from its own budget.
Applications for the relief fund will be accepted at 20 Eup, Myeon, and Dong administrative welfare centers on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding weekends, until the 28th.
To prevent the rapidly increasing Omicron variant virus, a 5-day rotation system based on the last digit of the birth year will be implemented until the 18th.
Recipients should bring a pre-filled application form (on-site filling is also possible) and an ID card to the administrative welfare center to receive the 100,000 KRW gift certificate immediately.
A city official said, “We will do our best to ensure that the disaster relief fund for revitalizing the livelihood economy is distributed quickly and accurately to all citizens without missing a single eligible person, prioritizing COVID-19 infection prevention and citizen safety.”
