The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson's office announced on the 14th, "About 100 of our nationals are scheduled to evacuate on the 14th and 15th."
According to the spokesperson's office, the current number of Koreans staying in Ukraine, including embassy staff, is 281, with missionaries numbering about 110 and self-employed individuals about 80, making up the majority. This is a decrease of 284 from 565 on the 25th of last month, when the travel alert was raised to level 3.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized, "The government issued a level 4 travel ban for all regions of Ukraine on the 13th, and we repeatedly urge our nationals residing in Ukraine to evacuate from Ukraine as soon as possible using available flights or land routes."
Meanwhile, it is known that the government is not ruling out dispatching military aircraft in preparation for the worst-case scenario.
A military official told reporters on the day, "If a request comes from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we are ready to deploy and ensure the safety of our nationals."
