Korea Startup Promotion Agency Conducts 'Jikbijugeum Challenge' with 33 Startup Partner Organizations
Proactive Challenge in Response to the 'Conflict of Interest Prevention Act'
Fostering a Transparent Startup Environment …Expressing a Joint Commitment to Practice
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development announced on the 14th that the 'Jikbijugeum Challenge,' conducted in collaboration with domestic startup partner organizations, has successfully concluded.
The Jikbijugeum Challenge is an abbreviation for the prohibition on acquiring unlisted shares of technology startup companies using confidential information obtained through one's duties. It reflects the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development and its partner organizations' commitment to transparent startup support. This is a proactive challenge in response to the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, which prohibits pursuing private interests related to job performance.
The challenge, held for two months starting from December 22 last year, involved 33 startup partner organizations nationwide, including the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, Sejong Creative Economy Innovation Center, Incheon National University, and Busan Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Agency. It was the first activity with startup partner organizations to create a transparent startup environment and holds significant meaning as a joint declaration of commitment.
