White House: "Americans in Ukraine Must Evacuate Within 48 Hours"
[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] The White House urged Americans in Ukraine on the 11th (local time) to evacuate within 48 hours at the latest.
Jake Sullivan, White House National Security Advisor, warned during a briefing that Russia's invasion of Ukraine could happen at any time.
He said, "I don't think (Russian President Vladimir Putin) has made a final decision," but added, "Russia may start with airstrikes if it invades." He also stated that in the event of a Russian invasion of Ukraine, there would be firm actions including economic sanctions and a response by NATO forces.

President Joe Biden is expected to have a phone call with Russian President Putin regarding this matter. In an NBC interview aired the previous day, President Biden advised Americans in Ukraine to leave immediately. He also ordered the deployment of an additional 3,000 U.S. troops to Poland on the same day.
