The People’s Party announced on the 9th that Ahn selected "A Righteous and Clean Science and Economy Powerhouse" as the main slogan for this presidential election, and "A Trustworthy Person, A Righteous Person - Ahn Cheol-soo" as the auxiliary slogan.
"Righteous and Clean" signifies Ahn’s morality and integrity. It also includes the moral qualifications that Ahn must have as a leader of the nation and in his personal life.
"Science and Economy Powerhouse" is the concrete goal for the Republic of Korea that Ahn, who has experience as a doctor, scientist, and CEO of a venture company, aims to build. It also reflects his determination to open an era of economic policy based on science and practicality rather than ideology and factionalism.
A People’s Party official explained, "'A Righteous and Clean Science and Economy Powerhouse' emphasizes that the path Ahn wants to take goes beyond simply replacing the ruling powers of both the ruling and opposition parties to judge the government through a 'blind regime change.' It is a 'better regime change' that creates a 'righteous and clean' president, a 'righteous and clean' country where fairness and common sense prevail, and a 'science and economy powerhouse' that prospers through leadership in science and technology."
