Biden Discusses Iran Nuclear Issue with Israeli Prime Minister
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] U.S. President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett discussed the Iranian nuclear issue, local media reported on the 7th (local time).
The two leaders talked on the phone the previous night about the Iranian nuclear issue and the recent U.S. military operation in northern Syria that eliminated the Islamic State (IS) leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi.
According to the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, during the call, the two leaders discussed Iran's threat in the Middle East region and measures to prevent Iran's nuclear program. The call took place as the talks to restore the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA - Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) were reaching their final stages.
The Israeli Prime Minister's Office stated that Prime Minister Bennett highly praised the success of the U.S. military's operation to eliminate the IS leader, saying, "Thanks to the brave operation of the U.S. military, the world has become a safer place."
