Gwangju Seo-gu Operates Regular Employee Recruitment 'Matching Day'... 29 Companies Participate
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 7th that it is recruiting job-seeking youth to participate in the ‘Matching Day’ event, part of the project ‘Dreaming of a Better Tomorrow with the Digital New Deal!’ until the 17th.
‘Dreaming of a Better Tomorrow with the Digital New Deal!’ is this year’s region-led youth job project, a public contest project by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety that supports region-specific regular jobs where the local economy and youth can innovate and grow together.
To promote the project, Seo-gu publicly recruited companies with plans to hire regular employees in the digital new deal sector last month and finally selected 29 companies.
After recruiting job-seeking youth for the selected companies, a Matching Day will be held on the 17th to select the final successful candidates.
Eligibility to participate is unemployed youth under the age of 39 residing in Gwangju City, and applications can be submitted by referring to the announcement posted on the Seo-gu Office website.
If pre-registration was missed, on-site registration is also possible on the day of the open interview.
Matching Day will be conducted as a non-face-to-face interview using the Zoom video conferencing program, with different matching times for each company to comply with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines and social distancing.
Youth hired will receive up to 10 million KRW in incentives if they maintain employment for two years, along with various benefits such as employment retention incentives, self-development support funds, and job training.
A Seo-gu official said, “In a situation where the youth employment cliff caused by COVID-19 is intensifying, we will do our best to help local youth find stable jobs.”
